Size fixed with concrete clinkers
A concrete clinker is size fixed when the length and size of the stones among them
have the same measurements. When the concrete clinkers are flattened, when they are
placed, then the concrete clinkers are size fixed and there is only a slight
difference in thickness. This difference is removed by trilling them. It is different
for concrete clinkers made on their side. Here you get different lengths and wides.
This causes problems with the placing: one cannot keep a straight, strict line.

Which colour of concrete clinker do you have to choose?
- Use darker concrete clinkers on places where the car has to come, so oil
stains and tyre traces are less visible.
- Also avoid the use of light shades under a walnut tree or other fruit trees.
When the shells, fruits or leaves fall off they can stain.
- Nuanced colours ask for a minimum surface of 40mē to give a good nuance.
- As concrete clinkers are made of natural granulates, are there colour
differences between different lots possible. Mingle concrete clinkers
from different lots before tiling. Possible shade difference won't catch
the eye so much and they will disappear after a while because of e.g.
weather conditions.

Placing of concrete clinkers
To get a nice nuance and to avoid colour differences we advise you to mingle
the concrete clinkers of at least three lots and to always work vertically.
Get enough material on the construction site, to avoid colour differences.

Maintenance of concrete clinkers
To keep your concrete clinkers nice, it will do to brush them now and then and
once in a while to hose them with a gardenhose. We advise against high-pressure
pistols, because a too high pressure can cause damage at the concrete clinkers:
it roughens the surface and your concrete clinkers will turn more porous, will
be quicker dirty and green.
You can remove the algae and moss of your concrete clinkers once a year with a
special product. It also avoids algae to cling.
After a thorough cleaning, you can sand your concrete clinkers again, so they
look as new.

Stains on concrete clinkers
White stains or calcifications are caused by certain climatic circumstances.
Calcification goes as it came. A lot of rain and using the concrete clinkers
speeds up the dissappearance of this phenomena.
Oil stains can be removed by HMK R52. One has to act fast, though. The longer
you wait, the harder it is to remove the stain.
